SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?

South Jersey Tools offers next day and 2nd day shipping to any US. destination and Puerto Rico.

Fedex (under 70lbs) shipments will take between 4-6 business days to be delivered with processing from the time your order leaves our warehouses.

LTL shipments (over 70bs) can take between 7 business days to be delivered.

HOW IS SHIPPING CHARGED

Shipping charges are calculated based on the actual weight, distance traveled and type of shipping service.

All shipments are F.O.B. shipping point and ship prepaid. Shipping method is determined by the size and weight of each item. Items of differing size and weight may ship independently, by different methods, even if ordered together. 

HOW WILL MY ORDER BE DELIVERED?

South Jersey Tools uses FedEx Ground, FedEx Second Day, FedEx Next Day Air, or truck freight line to ship your orders to you.

DO YOU SHIP TO P.O. BOX ADDRESSES?

South Jersey Tools cannot ship to P.O. Box addresses. 

WHAT IS A LIFT-GATE CHARGE?

If you do not have the equipment to offload certain overweight items from the delivery truck, a truck with a lift gate must be assigned for delivery of your order and additional charges will apply. The lift-gate charge covers the cost of this special delivery.

A freight company usually contacts you 24-48 hours prior to delivery to make lift-gate arrangements. Please assure your order has a valid daytime phone number, or voicemail box set-up. If you have questions, you may contact Customer Service at customerservice@southjerseytools.com 

Freight Shipments Damage and Loss:

Someone must be present to accept truck deliveries. Please be aware that freight delivery shipments often encounter rough handling resulting in damage or loss. In order to hold the freight companies accountable, the shipment must be thoroughly inspected before signing the delivery document. This includes inspecting for concealed damage.

Whether the shipment will be received by you, a colleague, family member or a customer it must be inspected.

If the receiver of the shipment has a waiver with the LTL carrier for No signature required, this authorization alleviates both South Jersey Tools and the carrier from any responsibility.

Damaged shipments must be refused or notated on the delivery document.

CLAIMS

The receiver must inspect the shipment prior to releasing the carrier. We are not responsible for damaged or lost product.

Freight claims for lost or damaged freight must be filed with the carrier and clearly noted on Bills of Lading when receiving shipments. This is necessary for your protection.

Although the responsibility is with the carrier, please notify us immediately so that we may be of some assistance.

Shipping and handling are nonrefundable. 

WHAT KIND OF WARRANTY DO YOUR PRODUCTS HAVE?

All items are guaranteed to be as described and illustrated by manufacturer.

  • All broken or claimed defective products will be replaced, credited, or repaired, in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty policy. 
  • Products showing abuse, misuse, or alteration, may not be repaired, credited or replaced under warranty. Shipping charges for returned goods are the sole responsibility of the customer. 

New Resalable Returns:

  • All returned products must reference a Rapid Returns Authorization Number (RA)
  • New and resalable products purchased from South Jersey Tools within 90 days will not be assessed a restocking fee.
  • New and salable products purchased from South Jersey Tools  within one year but after 90 days will be assessed a 15% restocking fee.
  • New and salable products purchased from South Jersey Tools  more than one year ago are non-returnable.
  • Special order items are non-returnable.
  • Products labeled discontinued or closeout are non-returnable.
  • Shop worn products, are non-returnable. (Shop worn is defined as products in which original packaging or instruction sheets are either missing, torn, dirty, sun faded or defaced).

Warranty Returns:

  • All broken or claimed defective products will be replaced, credited, or repaired, in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty policy. 
  • Products showing abuse, misuse, or alteration, may not be repaired, credited or replaced under warranty. Shipping charges for returned goods are the sole responsibility of the customer. 

Return Exceptions:

Gas and diesel-powered products cannot be returned to Northern once they have been gassed or oiled. If they have been gassed or oiled they need to be taken to an authorized service center for repair which may be covered under warranty.

WHAT IS THE QUICKEST WAY TO CHECK ON MY ORDER?
if you have created an account, you can check the your order online under your account.When your order is shipped your will receive an email with your tracking number. 

WHY DOES MY BILLING ADDRESS HAVE TO MATCH THE ADDRESS ON FILE WITH MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY?

As part of the identification process to protect you from unauthorized charges, you must enter the billing address exactly as it appears on your credit card statement. If the billing address entered during the checkout process does not match the address where your credit card company sends your statements, the credit card company will not authorize the charge. 

WILL MY ORDER BE CHARGED TAX?

Taxes - Sales Tax applies to your order in accordance with state regulations. You will be charged the taxes if you reside in New Jersey.

Factors determining the amount of tax charged on your order may include freight charges, handling charges, the type of item purchased and certain discounts.
